Hen with swollen eye/cheek

I noticed my hen's eye was swollen yesterday late afternoon. There seems to be 2 tiny punctures/bites above her eye. Today, she's much more swollen and it extends to her cheek.
We have an appointment for tomorrow afternoon with our vet, but I'm quite worried.
She's eating, drinking, and talking away. Her eye does seem quite sore and watery. No nasal discharge or sneezing. Everything seems normal, but for the swelling. Can I do anything until we see the vet?

Looks like a peck mark to me.
Vetericyn makes a good eye gel you could use.

It could also be an insect sting or ant bite. They can really swell. Some use a 1/2 benadryl tablet given once to help the swelling reaction, but keep an eye on it. Someone else just had the same thing happen when their hen was eating ants.
