My Production Red's are 6 months old and today was their first rainy day. It wasn't heavy, just a light drizzle. I let them outside to free range all day, wondering if they would even attempt to venture out, but they actually all loved it! They were running around and finding worms all kinds of yummy stuff.
But by the end of the day, apparently Mocha was having so much fun she decided she would rather keep playing than to come in to roost with the others. It was actually sundown and all the others were already up inside their coop getting ready to roost. But Mocha was still scrambling around trying to forage for more goodies. I even tried bribing her to come inside with treats, but nope she just pretended I wasn't even there. I actually had to pick her up and place her inside the coup. She turned back around and threw the biggest temper tantrum. She was squawking and carrying on like I was the biggest meanie in the whole world. Children, sheesh!
I hope this won't be a continuous thing....
