Hen won't sit on egg!!

I got a hen that layed an egg but she won't sit on the egg.i gave it to my Rhode Island Red hens but they just sit on it when the other hens are around how do I get the mother of the egg to sit on the egg please let me know thank you

They will lay up to 12 eggs before going broody and hatching them.. They won't go broody on command. You have to be patient. Oh, do you have a rooster? Eggs will not be fertile and will not hatch if there is no rooster with the hens.

I got rooster and my rooster loves to mate with that hen she has laid 4 eggs so far so i take her egg?

You can take the egg. She is not going to hatch it..
