Hen won't use one leg

Thank you for the update.

I'm glad to hear she is still going. The Tumeric is a good idea - I have not read up on it much, but have seen others tout it's properties.

I think feeling crappy is the perfect phrase for molting - poor girl. If she is eating that's good, I have one I have that gets really picky when she's molting (or maybe she's holding out for eggs:D)

I agree with you - as long as she continues to eat/drink and is moving around some, it's worth a try. Here's hoping once she's done molting she will be do much better.

Been a long while but my girl is still going. On one leg now but she really gets around amazingly well.

Her left leg is bent and stiff. The thigh muscle is as big as my fist and rock hard.

Her skin closer to her scales and towards the inside of the leg is swollen and fluid filled.

Out of curiosity it made a small puncture and the fluid is honey yellow. No smell. Not much came out and didn’t really seem to make a difference in her skin.

What on earth!?! I’ve looked and looked and almost everything I’ve even thought it could be would effect both legs not just one.

The turmeric seemed to help until the molt. Now that it’s getting warmer I was going to try that again. We can both concentrate on getting her better instead of keeping from freezing.

OK so I know I am not an expert or anywhere even close......

I skimmed through the thread. She's been down a long time.
Could she have atrophy in that unused leg causing the hard feel?
Not sure at all but thought maybe....

I would be frustrated by now with it.
