Henny & Penny at 9.5 weeks old. My hown they have grown. Love their coloring. Now and then trying to cluck, especially when they get excited. They are in their pen, all are pecking some scratch together and have the waterer with electrolytes where all can drink out of the same waterer.

Cute birds. :love

I hope the scratch is just a treat and should not equal more than 10% of their total formulated ration daily since it is essentially the potato chips of the chicken world (low in protein and no added vitamins or minerals). Also, electrolytes or any other supplement should not be given more than 10 days in a row. :)

Scratch is only a treat, only gIve 1/2 cup for 2 chicks and 3 hen. Don't get every day. Once or twice a week only if temps are not going be over our norm. They get frozen pumpkin, and berries as treats also. Electrolyte water is only being given during our heat wave. They also get untreated water with a block of ice in it and have a fan circulating the air in the run (fan is not blowing on them) We are not as hot as other places but in the 80's which is hot for us, our normal is 75.
