edited to add, it's a jumbo brown (henny penny) to a tuxedo (Ike) so im really excited to see the color results as im pretty sure both colors are dominant (not the white on the tuxedo but the tibetan on the tuxedo and the brown)...so we'll see ifi get 50/50 or more of one over the other

well mentioning that brings up a good point....I wonder if Henny Penny might express her moms A & M gene on any of the babies, if so I might get something neat......maybe a nice looking tuxedo or a brown with white...hrum! My luck i'll get all browns

Congrats Niki! I hope you get a good hatch rate! I dont know if you told how many you are hatching but I take it as you are hatching just a few from Henny Penny right? Sorry, I am a little slow today. I was up late for my birthday.

Cody!!

Chicks hatched, well 2, the 3 others didn't make it...but it's okay, i'd say that's reasonable for a hens FIRST pullet eggs incubated.

It's pretty interesting....breeding a Jumbo Brown hen carring the A & M gene to a Tuxedo male gave me

25% Tuxedo- I named it Penguin
25% Brown- it died in shell
75% Tibetan- one died in shell the other is snuggled up to Penguin

The third that died died early on in development so i dont know the color
