Help!!! Hnery is my Tom and he has a lump around teh bottom of his neck. His head is down and he just stands there.

Yes let me see if I can send some. I may have to take more and send them. I was dark last night and I didnt have help. I don;t think its an impacted crop now though. His holds his head down and just stands there. I did clear his nostrils. He will fight me to open his mouth and try to pick him up to move him.

So we can hold his head up but he cant. He has runny diarrhea now but didn't yesterday morning. I took food away and made sure he has a full pan of water on the ground and elevated. I did Tylan 50 last night and several syringes of water. He will fight me and snap at me when I give him anything by mouth. No blisters or spots in the mouth and he can stand on his own. He does move around just not a lot from place to place. He did have an issue before with an S shaped neck. That cleared up but now it looks like he has an issue again.

I'm thinking Wry Neck now. He is on 5 ccs of Tylan 50 twice a day. I tried feeding him egg this morning. He is not willing to eat or drink so I am watering him by syringe. He sees me come in teh pen and he starts making his way to teh other side. He fights me hard with the syringe. It breaks my heart because he chirps when I pet him and sit with him.

Wry neck is a symptom and not the disease that is causing it. One possible cause for wry neck is botulism poisoning. There can be other causes.

I know. He is my only turkey. He was sick a while back with a neck issue that straightened right up. I'm guessing respiratory. He had bad breath and gurgling in the chest. I caught it day one with him isolating himself neck didn't twist until the next day. I was waiting on casportpony to respond again but haven't heard anything yet. He has his own heat lamp and covered building. Just not sure where he would have gotten botulism poisoning if that is the underlying condition.
