Hi. Several months ago I took in 4 australorp chicks, when they were around visual sexing age it looked like we had 2 roosters and two hens.
They're maybe 4 months old now, about a month ago one of the "hens" just became a rooster? And then just the other day, I woke up and my very last hen was a rooster.
Yes I'm working on getting rid of the roosters, but the point is, at 4 months old how does this happen? They were supposed to be definable a long time ago, and both of them just changed overnight.
I'm just curious about it.
