Hi,
I've been away for 3 months and my chicks came to maturity during that time, including 4 roosters. Today I took my first good look at them (I got back yesterday) and almost all the roosters have some form of black scabbing on them. The more dominant roosters (and/or more flighty) seem to have less or next to none. I've seen no sign on the hens. Everyone seems to be going about their business as usual. There don't tend to be mosquitos this time of year, but there were a couple of frosts lately.
