Hens bullying chicks what do i do?

I have 2 hens that are going after our new chicks. I am worried that they might hurt them or worse even kill them. I don't know whats going on. these chicks are about 11 and a half week old. are they a little to young? Should i introduce them 1 by 1? If this hen keeps hurting them, Will that keep happening when they get older?

Also, i have a hen that has a pale comb. what could that mean?

I would wait until the chicks are older and make sure that had adequate room to get away from and hide from the adults.

Look no touch. Remove the older birds into a smaller area and leave the Chicks to be free in the pen and Coop.

So i did some what similar to what you just said, i put the older hens out in the pen and let the chicks in the run of the coop. at night i gather all the adults and put them in the coop. i just don't want to do that any more. i have a automatic door, i would love to use, but i have little hopes that the chicks will go in unless i leave the adults out and bring them in manually. these young chicks are growing very fast so i hope they get a long then.

How many older birds? I only seen you mentioning the two.

I have 10 adults counting the 2 bullying ones, and 12 chicks and 1 baby roster which makes 13.

It's a possibility so definitely don't just toss them out there. It can happen as quickly as turning off a light switch too.

Most of the other hens are okay with them it's just only 2. so i will keep them in the run for at least another week. i mean they share the same coop at night so. i don't let them out until about noon. so they have the whole morning to bond. I guess they are establishing the pecking order?
