as suggested above. Except I would add: Are you sure you dont have a mouse or possom sneaking in and eating / snatching them? If not, then the first thing I would do is think about what you are feeding them. If they are on a good layer like blue seal or layena already then I would think it is a mouse. If your feeding a home mix or all corn and left overs, then switch to a good feed. Blue seal "breeder" with oyster shell free choice in another feeder works wonders for a bit extra protein and methinone.
