Hens eating my duck eggs

Well, the only other reason they'd do it then is because they taste good.
You ever tried cooking them some duck eggs and giving them as treats?
That might actually work, sometimes if you just give eggs out they'll stop sneaking and eating them all.
I'm talking like maybe three a week, boiled and crumbled.
Thanks for your suggestion! I appreciate your help! I have 2 that haven’t layer all winter and they other two’s are the ones getting eaten, so I don’t have any other duck eggs, lol. But when I can get them, I will try it

How high is the protein in the feed?
BOSS is also high in fat.
They may be craving animal protein.

If the egg eating has become a habit, separation may be the only way to stop it.
I am happy to report that both ducks that are laying, laid in a bottom nest box, and I got them in touched this morning! I am hoping that the fake duck eggs I left out all day yesterday may have helped! Was hoping that they pecked at them enough that they will give up!!!
Thanks for everyone’s help. I will incorporate all your knowledge!

A follow up to this thread I started!
So, I believe I have discovered that the hens were not pecking and eating this duck’s egg intentionally! As I was able to get to this duck egg before the hens, I found that my Pekin (2 in April) is laying NOT a very hard egg. It is denting or cracking on the end when she lays it, as it is hitting the ground or nest box. She eats Sunrise Farms soy- free layer feed, which has calcium as the 4th ingredient, and has oyster shell stations avail 24/7.
I am assuming this is a lack of calcium issue? And if so, why isn’t she eating enough for a hard shell egg?
Thanks in advance:)
