Just curious - do yours ever eat chicken? Mine sometimes get meat but I never give them chicken just cause I feel like that’s betraying them, in a way.

You don’t have to give them all of them, just whatever you feel is appropriate. Chickens do love to eat.

I feed my chickens leftover chicken…it’s a great low fat protein source. Usually it’s the remnants of a roaster chicken after it’s come out of the stock pot. And no, it won’t make them cannibals or zombies.

I just say “they didn’t know that guy, and I hear he was kind of a jerk, so it’s ok that they’re eating chicken!”

I had not offered chicken to my chickens until recently. It does feel icky to do it,
Usually my dog gets first pick on leftover meat, but he is getting older and a little chubby so I need to cut back on table scraps. I just can't waste food, and my freezer was packed, so I chopped it all up real fine, bones were soft from the pressure cooker, and mixed in some veggies. They are it all in like 10 minutes flat.
