I was out of town for a week, and had my mother taking care of my chickens. She made sure they got out every day, and had food and water, but does not pick them up and examine them like I do often. When I picked up my frizzled polish hen today I noticed that the side of her face up into her crest, and the back of her neck were almost completely bald. Also her lower back area was also bald. I think my roo that was born on mothers day is breeding her, but I have not seen this yet.
Is it normal for then to get their face like that? My previous roo only pulled out the fathers on her back, but no on her face/head like this too.
