Hens Fighting ?????

i Have 12 Hens. They all run at each other and fight like roosters would. The fights dont look bad but sometimes they lose some feathers.
does this happen to anybody else s birds

Other than the occasional squawk while I am standing cutting up a pepper or banana, I never see any fighting. In those cases, they are all up real close and crowded around me trying to eat all they can. How much space do you have for your birds? I have around 5 1/2 sq ft per bird in coop, and around 75 sq ft per bird in run. Maybe that is why? Mine all came together in same shipment from hatchery and are 5 1/2 months old, all pullets and half laying.

My two top hens get into it from time to time. When they do my rooster steps in and breaks it up.
