My red star and black star are looking bedraggled these last few weeks and no eggs to be found!
Looking forward to them having there new covering of fine feathers.

Anyone have any interesting observations form over the years of watching their own birds molt?
They are very skidish when I try to pick them up and scream bloody murder.

You can see the pin feathers for the new growth. Increase the protein and that will help them develop feathers and they will start laying again.

Remember how long it took them to fully feather out as little chicks?

You can even give them some cat food.
