Hens have stopped laying?

I have two BRs and a Plymouth Rock that were all reliable egg layers until recently. I added eight new birds to the flock and orientation has gone well and my original hens don't seem overly stressed about the newbies. The other change made is I switch all the birds to a grower crumble as the new birds are not old enough to have a layer feed. I also have been offering egg shells free choice for calcium. Any advice on what the cause may be or a diet that is suitable for 2-3 month old pullets AND my big girls? Thanks!!

The diet is fine. You could also feed a flock raiser feed. I suspect the laing slowdown is due to the new members of the flock. Even though things went fairly smoothly, it's still a change, and chickens just don't do great with any change. They do get over it in time, though. I think patience will probabl pay off for you. You were right, thanks for the great advice. My senior hens have both started laying again! And the flock seems more like a flock now vs. 3 separate clicks!
