hens hiding in the nesting boxes

[Fallen Leaf Farm]

I have 2 BO hens that stay all day in the nesting boxes hiding from the other chickens (definately not broody, will jump up and out of a box if another hen shows up). My coop is 8x12 with a total of 24 chickens in it, and they free range during the day. I feel so bad for these 2 girls, anything I can do to make their life a little less stressful so that they feel they have to hide?

Did something happen to make you think they are stressed? Are they injured in a any way? Did you pick them up and look at them close? Can you get them out and lock them out for the day to motivate them to go play? Do they just need extra love?
