Here is a story I just wanted to share with you all!

i just spend at week at the heart institute getting a defibulator. When I came home after a couple of days i went out to the coop with my boys to see how there were doing taking care of my chickens! My hens were all mad at me and did not come to me at all!

I crouched down and they all ran at me clucking and making noise, my one little hen actually jumped up onto my knee!

Do you think chickens can miss you? Mine where acting like they did and seemed to be pushing at each other to get my attention!

Its good to be home!

Blessings,
Jeremy

You know its love when the flock comes running to greet you

Not to spoil your sweet idea that they miss you....but I wonder if they sensed the defibrillator...I'm sure it gives off a small current.
I'm sure they missed you too...I'm just wondering if chickens are as sensitive as other animals- I bet a dog could sense it.

Of course they missed you!

I had a light Brahma hen that when I had been gone, would always come running when I got home and would actually cuddle up against me. She only did this when she hadn't seen me for awhile!

They did miss you!! When I pull into my driveway after work my 2 roos start crowing and run back and forth along the fence!! I think chickens are smarter than we give them credit for.

Speedy Recovery!

The definitely missed you!!! My girls run to the door to greet me every time I walk down to see them (which is several times a day) It helps that I bring treats with me once or twice a day. But they definitely know who they love. My hubby walks down there and the girls run the other way!

Good luck on the recovery!!!

I agree sure they have missed you. All my hens are nice and friendly and yesterday when i was in the pen taking some picture one even jumped up on my arm and got all confy, I was qute shocked as Ive only had her just over a week.
