Hens need a Time Out!!!

Yeah, it may have just been that because she wasn't around a rooster she felt like she had to adopt that role, and now that someone else has it handled she can relax a bit.

I have a couple of hens who follow me around the yard. One is so adamant about being in my company that if I get too far away she will actually take flight to catch up with me. If you think it's alarming to have a chicken stalking you on the ground, imagine one barralling down on you in the air! lol
lol. i dont think its alarming, i just think that when she just appears from nowhere, its a little bit startling, especially when she just stares at me. she's startling me less now, and she's coming toward me when i'm aware of it. (sorry for my terrible grammar) also, i think it was yesterday, i saw an extremely odd sight. i saw my huge buff orpington rooster mate with my tiny little wheaten old english game bantam hen! it was really weird! has anyone else seen a huge rooster mate with a tiny hen???

I think you should just not pay attention, I have had chickens pecked my eyes and yes, it hurts but you know, they are chickens and that's what they do. I think that they may see bugs on your legs or maybe they need food, I don't know but it's nothing bad, I let my chickens peck my back all the time!
