My 8 girls are 1 year old in February and ALSO stopped laying recently. We live in Hawaii, so we don't have super short days. We are getting maybe 2 eggs a week right now. My husband is getting really upset that I've spend as much as I have and they layed for only a few months June - Nov and now nothing. What else could it be?
Yes. We have seen a lot of feathers. What causes molting so young? Are you seeing a lot of feathers? Even without daylight hour changes chickens still molt. They'd be young for it but it's not crazy to think of.
Genetics, mostly. And seasons.Yes. We have seen a lot of feathers. What causes molting so young?
