Hi all -

I bought three hens from someone two weeks ago today. They are all adult hens of laying age. I figured they would be stressed and so I didn't worry when I didn't see any eggs for the first few days. Well, now it's been two weeks and I've only gotten two eggs from three hens! They get flock raiser crumbles, a little scratch, and the same scraps and treats I have always given my other chickens.

The two eggs I have gotten have been on the ground. They don't seem to know they are supposed to roost. I'm hoping when I finally put them with the rest of the flock, the others will teach them.

How long does it usually take for a hen to get over the stress of being moved to a new home?

I give mine flock raiser with oyster shell, and they lay faithfully. THough, the change in feed may make them slow down, it shouldn't 'halt production' totally.
