Hens or Chicks for a newbie? Advice needed!

Here are my two 1-week old English Orpington babies. From what I understand - the difference between the English Orpington on the Orpingtons that we see at hatcheries is a purer line. Not totally sure about that. The difference in look is that they are fuller looking with poofy feathers. They almost look like they are wearing poofy pantaloons.

Not like some of the fancy feathered birds. Just bigger feathered.
