I ordered four blue Cochin straight run from McMurray, but I'm afraid I received all Roos, but want to be sure before they go bye!

how old are they?

I can see well defined saddle feathers in the first picture, looks like a roo.

can't tell on the others... but they do look male in the blurry pics....

They are five months old. I tried to get better pictures, but they would not stay still. For a while I thought the two black ones were roosters, and the two blue ones were hens, but the blue ones have since caught up, at least with their combs. Their feathers aren't quite as defined as the black ones, however.

You may be the best judge since you can see them in person and hold them still ;)

see the long dangling saddle feathers on the first picture? dead giveaway, roo for sure.
do you see long pretty feathers like that on the others, also around the neck area? generally the roos will have triangle-tipped feathers, especially near the neck/hackle, and females will have rounded-tip feathers.

their combs and wattles are all pretty big and red, but at 5 months I think that is a hard thing to judge since they are close to lay.
sorry I am not much help!

All are cockerels
Besides the fact of feathers and everything, they have very big red combs and wattles. here is a picture of one of my HQ pullets after she had began laying

she is probably 7 months old is this picture

That's what I figured, but was hoping for some hens. Oh well-thank you all!
