Since you cant keep males, I would start looking into rehoming (if thats the route you are headed). Males take a while to rehome.

Its gone back to the farm it came from bless it, I now have two silkies to replace him.

8-12 weeks is a good time to sex silkies. Maybe in 1-2 weeks.
