hens pecking everything

    Two of my hens will peck at anything. They peck at your pants, shoestrings,boots, hands, heck my cat was laying next to the run they pecked through the fence and pecked her tail. If you walk by the run they follow you and try to peck you through the fence.

    no, they just like to peck anything that isn't a chicken,,, so everyone WATCHOUT!!!!![​IMG]

    try hanging a cabbage head in the run and watch them...should be a good show!

    That's the nature of chickens. They peck to see if whateveritis is edible.

    The cabbage is a great idea. The feed store should also carry "flock blocks". I have 3 hens that will peck at my pants leg for treats. Just their form of begging, I guess.
