I use both the crumble and pellet, depending on if I've got young chicks around or not. I've never had a problem with birds cleaning up every bit that might get spilled. Occasionally, cockerels sparing will lead to a completely flipped feeder. The mess is usually devoured by the end of the day. If you do find you've got a bit too much spillage, you can wet it down a bit.looks like purina is the only brand of flock raiser. they only have crumbles at my feed store so I think it'll be fine. I'll try it

Nutrena make an all flock pellet.looks like purina is the only brand of flock raiser. they only have crumbles at my feed store so I think it'll be fine. I'll try it
