I have 6 RIR who have been giving me 6 eggs daily. They are about 46 weeks old. 4 days ago they ALL just STOPPED laying. NOTHING... not even 1 egg. I locked the cleanout, outside egg box, and gate to run. Nothing can get in. I checked the run thinking they might have buried them there.. NOT. Don't know what make of this... I can understand if it was 1 or 2 but all 6 on the same day and nothing since then... They are acting fine and very active. Live in Belton, MO. I'm new to this and in need desperate help!! Running out of eggs and sure hate to buy some. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!

More than likely it's that time of the year. When daylight reduces they naturally trigger to stop laying and possible molt. You can add a light to the pen and they may pick back up again or you can choose to let them go through their natural cycle. Might have slowed down a great deal.
