Hens stopped laying

Ok so i brought home some new 1 week old chicks and built a warm place for them with lamps in my hen house ( the hens cannot get to them) anyway now my hens have stopped laying eggs !! Whats happening is this normal

The stress of something new can cause them to halt laying. Is your coop big enough not to be heated up by the lamp and is the light directed away from where they roost? Sudden heat or light also can be stressful so make sure your coop is ventilated enough and the light is somewhat blocked.

Thank you ! I have blocked off the heat lamp lights and we will see if that works
