Hen's vent is visable and a pecking target?

I have a six month old Australorp hen whose vent is visable when she bends to peck and scratch and twice my other hens have pecked at her. She is somewhat "rumpy" in appearance and I am wondering will she grow enough feathers to cover her target area? I have her separated and have treated her wound (not severe) and sprayed anything that didn't look normal with blue Wound Kote. What else can I do? Thanks!
