Hen's wattles are turning purplish in the center???

This just started today. It's not the best pic, but she was going crazy with me just trying to get this shot. She fine otherwise. No swelling of the face and her comb isn't effected. Bossy and hateful. That's Big Red.

Also, recently my girls all have a little poo on their hinneys. Like they didn't wipe very well. They are all eating and acting fine otherwise. I did lose one my buffs due to a possom attack. She past last week. Could this be it?

I'm new at this so any help is greatly appreciated.

I would just keep an eye on it. She seems fine otherwise? What are you feeding them?

They are free range, but I also give them egg layer pellets and cracked corn. One in the morning and the other in the evening.

Should I be concerned about the poo on their tailends? My buffs looked really bad this morning.

My bet is that they're getting into something that is stirring up their guts. Also, corn makes them very hot and most don't feed at this time of year, and if getting as the sole meal once a day willleave them without properly-balanced nutrients. Yours hens need layer pellets at each feeding.

Alrighty then. No corn. Will do. My Mom is planting a garden and the bag of fertilizer is next to the corn in our shed. I know they go in there during the day while I'm at work. I was wondering if they may have "tried" it.

Also I read on another post that poopy butts = worms. Is this true? Another post said to treat with 1/4 cup of vinegar (white) per gallon of water for three days. The water needs to be changed daily.(The white vinegar is to treat Coccidiosis). If it does not clear up then get some Wazine 17. Wazine needs to be repeated in 30 days.

I'm cleaning everything today with bleach water and was going to put 5% sevin dust in the bedding and such, but i was also going to treat my lawn with ortho granules to kill fleas,ticks and other buggies. Will this hurt my girls if they eat some of them?
