Herbal deodorizers safe for chicks in the brooder?

I just happened upon this bergamot (bee balm) and basil product and am wondering if it would be safe to sprinkle in my brooder (Rubbermaid stock tank) as it will be in my house for a while. I'm concerned about the safety for little ones. Thoughts?

I would not use it as it will get eaten.

Instead of deodorizing consider cleaning the brooder every day and using softwood shavings as a bedding.

I agree with cleaning more.
Nothing you use to try to mask the stink will work better than cleaning it.
