Herbal Teas................?

I once heard of someone using herbal teas a a preventative measure and a " power boost" for their pigeons. Does anyone have any info on using this for chickens, or use it themselves?

I've heard of people using tea but I never have myself. I think I read it in an article in "Backyard Poultry" magazine.
