PS. kids dignosed with strep-- 100% sure I have it too. Chill, earaches, sorethroat, chills, tired, ear aches with every swallow-- will see doc tomorow for pennicillian.

Need to better undestand the antiviral foods/herbs to better support my immune!!!!!!!!
 
probiotic help soothe the pain but often antibiotics are needed for strep. If its mild Probiotics, Elderberry syrup, Raw honey. and garlic help.

THe docs are well aware now on the benefits of the probiotics when taking antibiotics--- I prefer the capsule form as it is more cost effective than buying yogurt. I would like to know how to make a culture that is a higher percent than commercial but otherwise my kids can eat a lot of yogurt in a day ( and not the sugar filled stuff)

Plan to look for bulk probiotics.
 
At the library yesterday, I skimmed a book written by a Dr looking at the details of micro-organisms in our life. VERY INTERESTING READ. As a society we have adopted many practices in which we are robbing ourselves of the exposure to so many good microbes that actually keep us healthy. Certain microbes are picked up at birth, but not if a c-section. C. pyli is connected to gurd-- as in the lack of it. another, or lack of it is connected to a leaky bowel syndrome.

THe overuse of antibiotics is another cause of the good bugs missing fom our bowels. Unfortunately many of the naturally orrcuring microbes are not and cannot be replaced because they are gone from the gut of north americans. A research team worked with a south american tribe that lived remotely and completely without contact to the outside world. After giving them the appropirate innoculations ( we are learning) they ran a number of tests including looking at the microbes in the fecal samples. A number of microbes that are not in our population.

Just food for thought. Use antibiotics judiciously.
 
I'm sure the only reason I am a hold out on the eifer is that it is grain based. Not certain how many carbs in it of course, but I generally dont eat or drink, lol, anything grain based anymroe as it gets me into trouble.
 
They are bacteria grains made from sugar not the type of grains like wheat or anything as such. Yes there are sugar carbs, but your body needs those too. They exist in fruit as well. The benefits are far better that the caloric dispute, and it is not even all that sweet. They are gluten free. Also after you have cleansed and avoided all GMO products you may find you body will let you consume non GMO grains again. They are clear bactieria granules called 'grains'.
