herbs & seasoning for the most savory soup

I want to make some really delicious chicken, rice, and veggie soup.

What seasoning do I need? I buy all sorts of stuff I never know how to use.

I like Thyme, Rosemary, Sage, Savory, Garlic, Onion, and Parsley in mine
