Herding chickens

A second-hand story but still funny. My mother’s co-worker has 6 chickens. He also has a dog that he has trained to herd the chickens back to the coop at night.

The dog also knows how to open the sliding door. He walks into the family room and finds the dog and 6 chickens hanging out in the family room. The dog opened the slider door and then herded the chickens into the house. His wife wasn’t too happy.

Maybe there was something outside that was worrying the dog so he figured the safest place for the chickens was in the house.

Our Border Collie, Milo, herds the chickens...but not where you want him to.

Hysterical! Love those herding breeds. My boss has two australian shepards and they herd stray dogs into the house as well.

I can just imagine walking into the family room to find the dog on the floor all proud of himself, a couple chickens on the couches, one on the coffee table, one of the TV and the rest on the floor. All of them looking at the owner with that "Whats up?" look on their faces.
