Here are a couple of pictures of the Delawares out of my 1969 American Standard of Perfection. These are to me the best paintings of the Delaware breed to have ever been done. Arthur O Shilling was one of very few poultry artist who could take there poultry paintings and make them look so real.

Here are a few pictures of my Delawares at 11 weeks old. I am very happy with the size and coloring of them at there age. I am not sure of there weight, but I will soon be getting a digital scale to keep up with there weight as they grow.

Real nice looking flock. Where did you get them? If you already mentioned it and I missed it, sorry...I was looking at the pics.

They look fairly similar to the ones I got from Welp. The only significant difference I see is that mine all have very yellow (almost orange) legs. Not one is anything less than intense. I am seeing quite a bit of variation on the barring in my pullets. Yours look like they might be a bit more uniform.

They look good to me, but I'm not experienced in what they should look like at this stage.

Hi McSpin
I have had many breeds of poultry, but this is the first Delawares I have ever had. From what I hear and have read out of poultry books is the Delawares color markings change a lot in the first year. The Delawares you have in your post are very nice looking.
