Here are some MOOving pictures.

That's one thing I love about the Dexter's. They are a dual purpose breed. You can milk them and use them for beef. They can even be trained to be oxen and plow or pull a cart. I

some of the other cows wanting a sniff or two of her.

i found her and her momma away from the others and at first all i saw was a panting and breathing hard cow with afterbirth then i looked around her and found a new born heffer! she is definatly a keeper and a showgirl indeed! but... what should i name her? i couldnt think of a good name can you help me?

She is darling!!!! We have a Lily and a Molly, and our 1 baby calf that we have is Zoey.

For a good cow, I think I'd almost go to Kansas! LOL!

Shh..we're eyeballing a dexter/jersey cross now though that's only 20 miles away. She's bred to a dexter bull but would make LOVELY calves with a mini jersey instead!

Here's her pic!

what is your version of a good cow? like makes a lot of milk? or isnt afraid of people? we have both! so whats a good name for that little new born?

i noticed that you kept some horns on some of those cows have you been having any trouble with them and there horns? i know we sure do!

We usually don't have too much of an issue....if we do, we dehorn them. We actually like for some of them to have horns so that if the coyotes get too close when they're out on grass the cows can defend the calves better.

hmm we never have trouble with are beef and calfs out in the pasture with coyotes if we do we set up traps and if we catch: fox, coyotes, or anything lse dangerous to any of my animals we shoot it because they always find there way back if we let them go far away.
