L. diffilis baby. <3
I'm trying to collect all of the Lasiodora species. They grow into proper huge boys and girls! I own three so far. L.p L. Klugi and L. diffilus.

Most Lasiodora sp can grow up to ~25 cm (9.8 inches).

I have new babies!
My fourth Lasidodora sp. in the collection: L. subcanens. She's soooo small. Imagine in eight years or so she will be the size of a dinner plate.

I also got my first scorpion today! She is a H. laoticus baby - Vietnam forest scorpion. So cool!

Yeah, they are fine. The venom is not significant, and in general scorpions are good on the flat of your hand, they don't sting the surface they sit on.
I wouldn't handle a more venomous one anyway though, of course.

You can tell, by the way, that she was quite upset to start with because I had to lift her from the shipping container (I'd be upset after 24 hours in the hands of the post office too!), her tail is up and her pincers open... but in the second photo just seconds later she is chilled out again. Realising there is no threat.
They do communicate. So does the spiders.
