What did you do in the garden today?

The only way I eat it is with a crazy amount of garlic. I assume you have recipes that make it taste better. I was fooled by Luke from MIgardener saying you can eat it like celery. That was a mistake.

I put greens in lentil soup and frittatas. I chop and sauté the stems before I add them.

Chard stems do NOT equal celery. :lau:lau:lau:lau:lau

Mixed with lots of other greens in salad, yum. Cooked, drained and wrung out, then topped with garlic powder, seasoned salt, olive oil and a little apple cider vinegar. Also minced and added to soups, can't taste it at all but the nutrients are there. Have also tried using the stems like celery in my potato salad, that was a big no!

Hadn’t thought of cooking swiss chard, I was just using it for salad greens (and I can’t remember the stems, so I must have cut those out and put them back in the garden to compost). It did way better for me than kale, and wasn’t as bitter.
