There are just two Ameraucana eggs, one each Silver's and Charlotte's. Last time, Charlotte's baby was too large, had no room to maneuver inside the egg to pip and ran out of air. We pipped the shell at the end of Day 21 and it appeared to have just expired. A perfectly formed, beautiful baby. If Silver's baby hatches ahead of Charlotte's and Charlotte's hasn't pipped by the beginning of Day 21, we may go ahead and pip the aircell end to be sure it can breathe. On Wednesday, I have eight eggs going into the hatcher, six more Ameraucanas and two Blue Orpingtons. Then on the 29th, two or three more eggs go into the hatcher. One more hatch starts in the third week of December and I'm done, done, done till Spring. I think.
