Here i go again.... 😅😅 Color problems

Sun fading is cuased by exposure to the sun. Sun fading will be at its most right before the molt. Right after the molt sun fading is at its least.

Alright! Got it now. Just like lavender and chocolate orpingtons whose feathers become bleached by sunlight and become somewhat yellowish.

Thaaaaaanks! That was informative, not to mention the photos that you attached making it easier to grasp than just to imagine..

However, the gfowls in the photos are still < a year old. Say, 5 or 6 months maybe. Even the keets that still havent gotten out to pasture and/forage so they still have no direct sun exposure. By the way, these "chocolate" ones hatched out from our royal purple pen.
In one of my older post here in BYC, I mentioned that one was from the cinnamon gfowls, and the other one was from the RPs. But later on, we found out that it couldnt have been from the cinnamon gfowls, because we made a mistake and put birds that are of the same gender. So it was very much unlikely.. And now, all those "unknown" colored keets really hatched out of the RP group.. And this time we made sure that eggs wont be mixed up and/or mislabeled.
I attached a few of not-so-good photos of our keets that are 2months old.
The first 2 older gfowls in the photos are of the same color as these keets when they were this age.

These remind me of my keet that I suspect is chocolate. She’s the one in the middle of this photo below, with a royal purple to the left. Chocolate should be semi-pearled but with dark dunne genes (if you like that system of explaining their color permutations). Your royal purple are semipearled, but then the dark dunne would be recessive genes that some of your birds are carrying…

Your middle bird does not look like a Chocolate to me.

I think she has a new line of calicos, and I'm jealous - they're gorgeous, @Mixed flock enthusiast . I wonder..,my gals are all GPs. Early on in my joining in here, there was a discussion abt that "one white wing feather." I think someone thought it meant their bird was pied or something, & I don't remember how r2elk explained it.
Brodie is from Mama's clutch, which had both her & Bella's eggs in it, so I don't know if it's a freak thing or Brodie is actually Bella's (not telling Mama).
Anyway- Brodie is PG, but has a few very rich, not faded, not tan, brown feathers. I'm wondering if that's what's going on w/ your middle guy. Brodie also has, for some strange reason, a ridge that makes it look like she has a mohawk on her spine ahead of the "bustle".

Have a pic of that bustle???IF Cinnamon doesn’t get eaten in the next month, I should be able to take some pics of her adult feathers (definitely a she). It was so hard to see her colors well as a keet, so I think we just need to wait until she gets some big girl feathers… Lil Bit is still paler in color than the two violets, Iris and ???. Surplice the pinto is a girl too! That makes four keets (Loudmouth, Iris, Cinnamon, Surplice) that are definitely girls. Unfortunately, I’ve been so busy at work and it’s been getting dark so early now, that I’ve barely seen my birds in days!

I don't think I have ANY pictures of those two. We were blessed w/60° days & no rain the past 2 days so was actually able to coax those 3 out of coop and spend some time with them.
Brodie is somewhat neurotic- she just can't understand why the other 2 tolerate being picked up and sitting in my lap, so she's in constant motion like a sword fighter- forward, back, thrust, dodge, parry-
Oh, and Numi? Moving her to the coop ought to be interesting. When I cleaned the brooder I put a different cover on her MHP and didn't put it back exactly the same. She stood outside of it throwing a fit until I went back and put it back the way it was. Little Miss!

Yes, he is the first Chocolate that I ever had. He is also proof that Chocolate is sex-linked. Mated with a Coral Blue hen he produced both Chocolate and Royal Purple keets. The Chocolate keets could have only had one chocolate(?) gene and were all females.
