I am trying to identify my 4 week old babies. What is a pea comb? I know the color variations but what does a peacomb look like compared to a regular comb??(if there is such a thing as a regular comb??)
 
a pea comb is usually rather flat when they are little.....let me see if I have a pic...
here, this is a cockeral. If you look close you can see 3 little raised rows of bumps(sorry the pic is a little blurry). Pullets are usually more like a single row, but not always, and they are smaller

Thank you , if you can't tell I am a newbie!! I have been researching alot on this site but could not find any descriptions of comb variations!! Thanks for the link on comb types, very helpful. That diagram should be posted along with Chicken anatomy! Did you draw that yourself???
