Hi Debbie. Yep, we Alaskans are always "behind the times".

Alaska is AWSOME! As I said to Jon, I've lived here off and on since I was a kid. First up in the Interior (home of the minus 60 degree weather) and now in Kodiak. I love Alaska, despite all the challenges of living here, and it will always be home.

We took the dogs and kids to the beach today and watched some huge waves crashing in and then went down to the harbor for a walk. We watched two sea lions jumping into the back of a huge commercial fishing boat. It was so cool! We walked around the dock next to the boat and could see the lion up close and personal. He was eating fish that had been left on the boat. He was HUGE!!!

Those are the kinds of experiences that happen all the time in Alaska. It's beyond compare.

Alaska.....too cold but the beauty I heard is awesome and the beautiful night sky with colors is something to behold as well!

yeah i personally liked the interior better but then i only visit the towns on water i lived in the interior

I have a friend here who's husband (who happens to work at the fire department on the CG base) is from New Jersey. He loves it here. The fishing and hunting can't be beat.
