The ladies and we are happy to join this community.
We both grew up with chickens, but this is our first flock as adults. We got the girls (8 of them) about three weeks ago are , and so far, so good. Our kitten thinks they are loverly, but her intentions are not clear; does she want to cuddle them? play with them? eat them?
We live in Albuquerque, and greatly admire Barbara Kingsolver, but realize we are just not her, and never will be.
