Professional is getting corn too.

Because corn is cheap. they probably did it to save money. I know someone that feeds dumor show pellets. I might try them if its corn free. Her rabbits aren't dying on it. Not a huge fan of dumor though.

Dumor is Purina's less expensive formular,
sorry to say.
its not going to help one bit switching to that.

Does anyone know if there IS any corn in it? Is that a okay food to feed my bun?

Yikes what a mess! How are they doing?!

And it just makes my blood boil that there are people on here willingly feeding their rabbits corn and junk!!!

Manna Pro and Gro usually do not have corn in it and when it does its becaue of a mill mix up.
someone didnt blow out the machine after processing cracked and corn meal.
but pound for pound there is very little corn in Manna Pro products.

ETA: I feed the Gro formular to the French Lops and Dwarfs alike. its all a matter of feed control.

and Jenna I agree, after reading the "can I feed my rabbits chicken grain"

I cant even respond to them threads anymore, I usually blow them off as troll threads

in all honesty I had no idea that rabbits couldn't have corn. Years ago I had like 20 or so rabbits and I fed them all corn. Never once a problem? Could it be that they were fine because they grew up eating it? Or maybe they weren't eating enough of it to cause problems? I fed them rabbits pellets with corn mixed in and alfalfa hay to boot. I'm not trying to cause problems. I really had no idea.

They are still hanging in there. I have tried everything. I am now forcing them to eat cecetropes from my healthy rabbits. The one rabbit keeps drinking, but not pooping.

I fed manna pro before when they first got sick. So I don't know if its the feed, or a virus. MSU says nothing toxic grew in the feed so far. they did find a bacteria. But it looks more the additives they add for digestion.

The chicken feed posts make me really irritated....

If you need to buy Sub Q fluids and set up kits you can get them at Atlantic Medical Supply without a prescription. Runs about $50 for everything. Make sure you get a large enough needle so fluid delivery is fast, less stress on the animal.

I use Mazuri Rabbit and Chinchilla pellets but to be honest they eat more Timothy Hay than pellets anyway. The pellets are more like a supplement and I've never had a problem. Course I only have one Chin and one Rabbit. I check labels on everything I give them though to avoid corn.

Good luck!

Thank you.

The bunnies are doing a little better. Someone over on the meat rabbit list suggested feeding them cecetropes from another healthy rabbit. It seems to be helping them. The one that was near death, and bloated to three times its size is eating hay now. The swollen belly has gone down some on the other. Neither are pooping yet. Hopefully they will start to recover and we will see some bowel movements soon. Another suggestion was to feed young rabbits whole, fresh goats milk. One breeder said they had seen a problem colitis ever since they started using it.

rabbit pellets are made from either Tomothy or Alfalfa , some are also adding Soy into the mix.
it is a complete diet and hay usually only added as a tummy scrubber and teeth control.
I wasnt aware Mazuri made a rabbit formular, interesting.
