Here we go!

This spring we decided to take the plunge and build a coop/buy some chickens. I read every book on chicken raising that the library had and still feel like I know nothing. This website has been a lifesaver. Thanks to all of you that are posting the same questions I have!

We have 8 chickens, bought from the tractor supply store. They are now 10-11 wks and 18-19 wks old. So far no eggs, and no real problems either (although we are wondering if one she is a he). We have 2 white rocks, 2 prod. reds, 1 barred rock, 1 buff brahma, 1 red sussex, and 1 RIR.
