Well as horrible as this is going to sound...
If they are a biter you can fashion a mack shift muzzle out of a leash. Just don't wrap to tightly or you may end up hurting the dog.
The best way to get your dog's nails done is to have two people.
One person to hold, and the other to clip the nails.
Find a corner of your house, and stick there butt in it so the dog can not back up or escape.
That should make things *Theoretically* a tad bit easier for you.
