Well.....i just accidently deleted all of the text i just typed so i guess im going to make it short and sweet-I agree with cuda, fowlafoot and the others, I have a roundhead/white hackle on the yard that looks just like the rooster in question, only difference is mine is about 2 years old. has white legs, and spangles. the peacomb and "asil/malay" look from the roundhead comes from when the roundhead was developed a long long time ago, they were created with asils. this one may have had asil added into him not too far back, the slender body comes from him being young.. i've grown up around american gamefowl. my father had them, and my grandfather before him.. and YES it bothers me once people refer to them as "Fighting birds", and when i've even been told "Theres plenty of great show birds out there, no need for them". Well some people use them as pets due to their great personalities and color. some actually do show them, (i dont because i show oegbs), but first there are no "Show birds", All breeds were created for, fighting, egg laying, or meat, some were created so they could survive cold winters (And lay, so they fall into the egg laying category), should they all be out casts and killed, AND should all poultry shows not be allowed since their not used for the original purpose?, there also those few who say "only the fighters get mad about it because they think their "Exposed" well then... i only have one rooster, what would i fight it against?, its just the same as when you say silkies are evil/good for nothing and dont look like chickens, Silkie breeders get mad, same as when you misspell Aracuana or Orpington, the breeders get mad, or when you call EEs araucaunas, people tend to get mad, its just the breeders (of ANY breed) Hate having someone say something negative about their birds, Thats all im saying for now.
