Here's Lucky!

This is the only chick that has servived out of our 1st hatch this time around. there are two more eggs in his group that I am letting sit for a couple more days. I hate to give up hope that they won't hatch. What can we do to keep him from being so lonely? He wants to follow us everywhere! I heard someone say to put in a stuft animal for them, but not sure if that is the right thing to do for him. Any ideas?

yeah stuffed animals are supposed to help. Do you have any other chicks at all? Maybe some a little older? If so, you could put him in with them, once he gets a few days old, as long as they aren't way bigger than the little one. Just be sure and watch them, cause bigger ones like to peck sometimes. If not, a stuffed animal is your only hope, aside from keeping it in your pocket all day!!

I have seen that done, probably would give him some comfort..although he is soooo cute I would probably go with Shelly's idea of carrying him around in my pocket!!!
